TEC Connections Academy Commonwealth Virtual School (TECCA) is a tuition-free virtual public school district that employs over 220 faculty and staff and serves a diverse population of 3,000 students in grades K12 across Massachusetts.
Operated in partnership with Connections Academy, and sponsored by Massachusetts leading collaborative, The Education Cooperative (TEC), TECCA opened for the 201415 school year with approval by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Working remotely or in the office, the TECCA Floating Elementary Substitute Teacher will be responsible for the successful completion of the following tasks as assigned, daily, by the school administration:
Daily tasks may include but are not limited to:
-Proctoring or providing support for benchmark testing (including make ups) of the writing benchmark, STAR testing, and MCAS testing-Assisting with outstanding Welcome Calls-Providing Live Lesson coverage in the event of a teacher absence (for example,due to MCAS proctoring, planned absences, temporary leaves, etc.
)-Supporting school wide duties, including Face to Face check ins with students through Class and logging attendance-Preparing for assignments by reviewing curriculum and lesson plans-Reports to building principal to support the work of the building-Facilitating small groups as appropriate to support learning needs-Other Duties as assigned On a daily, short, or long term basis:
-Grading-Support the instructional program with synchronous web conferencing sessions and instruction supplemented with self-paced curriculum work-Communicate with parents, students and other teachers on a regular basis to, score assessments, provide feedback on student work, suggest instructional approaches and strategies, monitor completion of assignments and coach special projects-Work collaboratively with other teachers to ensure that all students are successfully progressing through the program, that parents have a central point of contact, and that tasks are distributed among the teachers-Support students and parents with alternate strategies and provide additional assistance with daily assignments and projects-Communicate regularly with parents, students, and through use of computer and telephone-Keep student records and data up-to-date, online student and family information, attendance accounting, and logging all student and parent contacts-Consult with other teachers and staff learning specialists to develop alternate enrichment activities and modifications to students programs to increase student understanding-Participate in student outreach sessions and other activities that require teacher representation-Work with Homeroom Teachers and School Counselor to ensure students and families are receiving appropriate communications, students are making adequate progress and established goals are being met-Provide social activities for students such as recess/assemblies-Other duties as assigned.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
